The people behind Calm, a subscription-based meditation app available on Android, iOS and the Web, are offering teachers free access to the app’s premium-level meditations — a $59.99 value.

The Calm Schools Initiative is a new program that allows teachers to incorporate periods of quiet and intentionality in the school day. It’s available to any teacher with a K-12 classroom.

Access to Calm’s meditation library includes more than just mindfulness meditations and calming body scans. It also includes access to Calm Kids, which offers meditations tailored for various age groups from pre-K through high school.

Resources in the Calm Kids library run the gamut from sleep stories to soothing music and more.

The goal of this initiative is to provide teachers with the tools and resources they need to help kids develop a lifelong capacity for greater self-awareness, concentration, patience and resilience.

Teachers who fill out a simple 30-second form here are usually approved in just a few days. Once you’re approved, you’ll receive a welcome email with further information on how to get started. And then you’ll start receiving tips, suggestions, and best practices to introduce mindfulness to your classroom and get your students excited about meditation.
