AB 800 The “Workplace Readiness Week” Bill
AB 800 was signed into law September 30, 2023, and requires the week of April 28 of each year to be designated as “Workplace Readiness Week”. All public and charter high schools are required to observe this week annually and provide information to students about their rights as workers. The information is required to be integrated into the regular school program and consistent with the history-social science framework for grades 11 and 12.
