The future of the California Teachers Association depends upon continuous identification and training of local leaders to survive the educational challenges facing California. Region 3 is privileged to host its 2022 Leadership Conference at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles.

The 2022 conference offers relevant and up-to-date leadership skill building sessions and this year will focus on “Challenging the Past – Reshaping the Future”.

Learn about negotiations, political action, tax fairness, organizing, membership, rep training, and so much more. Are you a new leader? This conference was designed with you in mind.

In addition to our comprehensive program, there are Pre-Conference workshops scheduled on Friday, August 26:

• Chapter Treasurers Workshop (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

Region 3 is partnering with The Shower of Hope, a 501c(3) non-profit organization that provides showers to the 44,000 homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. Bring toiletries such as soap, shampoo and/or towels (mini or standard size) to be donated to Shower of Hope. In return for each item donated, you will receive a ticket to be entered into a drawing for a door prize. One ticket per item. Please bring donated goods to the registration table.

The health and safety of attendees, speakers, exhibitors and staff are our highest priority. In partnership with hotels, CTA will adhere to all official government and local authority guidance, as well as any venue or location-specific regulations.

All attendees, staff, presenters, exhibitors, and invited guests will be required to show proof of vaccination OR a written negative COVID-19 test taken within 1 day for an antigen test or 2 days for a PCR test upon check-in at the CTA Registration Desk.

Proof of vaccination can be in the form of your physical Vaccination Record Card (CRC) from the CDC, an image of the card, if you have a picture on your phone, or your digital COVID -19 vaccine record issued by the State of California.

Professional Growth Hours: Professional Growth credit will be available at no cost for CTA members. Confirmation of professional growth hours will be emailed shortly after the conference.

University Credit: The University Credit Program is a benefit available to members attending CTA Conferences. More information is coming soon regarding the University Credit program for 2022-2023. In the meantime, check out our current summer program here for more information.
