The best thing about being back in the classroom is being able to see all their smiles, to see their joy. I can give them all a high fives…and fist bumps. The excitement involved when a child is… struggling with something and they finally get it… they get that aha moment… it’s like the light bulb moment…it’s magical. Those are the moments that make me tick, that make me want to keep teaching. Kind of reminds us why we're all in teaching to begin with. Because educators like me know quality public schools…make a better California…for all of us.

Teacher appreciation means…teacher appreciation to me is support.
The moment to really thank a teacher and to think about all the things that teachers do for kids besides just educating them. Remembering and honoring the teachers that actually educated me. I really think about all of these teachers and the sacrifices that they make day in and day out. That's what teacher appreciation means to me as a parent. Because the California Teachers Association knows quality public schools make a better California for all of us.
