At its October meeting in Los Angeles Sunday, the CTA State Council of Education elected San Francisco educator VanCedric Williams to the CTA Board of Directors, District A.

CTA President E. Toby Boyd, a kindergarten educator, issued a statement today following the release of national student assessment data, the National Assessment of Educational Progress results (NAEP).

This weekend at the October meeting of its State Council of Education, the California Teachers Association renewed its calls for the immediate resignation of City Councilmembers Gil Cedillo and Kevin de León from the L.A. City Council.
