Event Description
The premier training of its kind, CTA’s Summer Institute takes place on the beautiful University of California, Los Angeles campus. Offering sessions in a variety of areas that assist chapter leaders in the day-to-day representation of their members, this five-day event will feature hands-on activities to hone the skills needed to meet the challenges of the coming year.
This year the Summer Institute offers ten full-week trainings with instruction that spans Sunday to Thursday. Participants register for the training of their choice. Some sessions fill up quickly, so it is important to register as early as possible. You may be waitlisted if your first choice is not available at registration. It’s showtime! Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. With an irreverent book, an astonishing set, and a score that’s out of this Netherworld, BEETLEJUICE is “SCREAMINGLY GOOD FUN!” (Variety). And under its uproarious surface (six feet under, to be exact), it’s a remarkably touching show about family, love, and making the most of every Day-O!
