Event Description

Exciting Announcement!

The CTA Issues Conference has been redesigned and renamed!

Coming in January 2026, we’re launching the CTA Organizing Academy, centered on supporting chapter teams through facilitated sharing, planning, and learning to move our “Fight Back, Fight Forward” campaigns throughout the state and in our locals.

Guided by the CTA Organizing Plan and its North Star of having a super majority of local chapters with organizing structures at every site and running effective high-participation campaigns, this new training and leadership development opportunity will unite local leaders in collaborating and strategizing so we’re empowered and ready to strengthen our collective voice and to take action.

The 2026 CTA Organizing Academy will be held January 16-18 in Las Vegas and will emphasize team-based learning, while still offering leadership & organizing centered electives for those attending individually. To effectively participate in the team-based activities, we are strongly encouraging chapters to bring two or more leaders who will work together on assessing and shaping your chapter’s future in an environment where you’ll share with other leaders from similar-sized chapters. Even if coming as a team is not possible, there will still be many organizing-centered electives for individual site reps, bargaining team members, and others.

More information on sessions coming soon!

If you have any questions, please email the conference staff at CTAOrganizingAcademy@CTA.org.
