Join us for the Region 2 Leadership Conference, September 25–27, 2026, as we proudly celebrate 25 years at the Grand Sierra Resort.

The CTA Region 2 Leadership Conference offers a dynamic and comprehensive program featuring keynote speakers, more than 40 elective sessions, exhibitors, and more. Our wide range of elective sessions allows members to customize their conference experience while gaining valuable training and earning professional growth.

Traveling to the Conference

Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO): 2 miles

Hotel offers a complimentary airport shuttle that runs every 30 minutes from 4:30 a.m. until 12:15 a.m. Shuttle leaves Reno-Tahoe airport at quarter after (:15) and quarter ’til (:45) the hour. Shuttle leaves GSR at the top (:00) and bottom (:30) of the hour.

Documents

Session documents will be available in the conference app and attendee hub closer to the start of the conference. You must be logged in to the Event App to view session documents. Provided documents can be found at the bottom of each session page within the Event App and Attendee Hub.

The California Teachers Association (CTA) is committed to ensuring that all attendees of its conferences and meetings have equal access and opportunity to participate in these events. Child Care

Child care for the 2026 Region 2 Leadership Conference is available to CTA Members and Staff attendees who are the primary caregivers of the child(ren) attending. Click here for more child care information.

You must Register your Child to reserve a spot at Camp CTA. Children attending Camp CTA must adhere to the conference Health & Safety Policies. The child care registration link will be provided during conference registration.

Credits

Professional Growth Hours: By attending this conference, you will earn 15 hours of Professional Development which can be used to claim (1) University Credit through our partner, CSU Chico. Conference attendance from start to finish is required to receive the Professional Growth Hours. After the conference, attendees will be emailed a certificate of Professional Growth Hours.

University Credit: The CTA University Credit Program is a benefit available to members who attend CTA Conferences or watch recorded sessions through the CTA Virtual Pass to Online Learning. Please visit www.CTA.org/Credit for all timelines and information on how to claim the credit.

Grants

Region 2 will award conference grants for the upcoming Region 2 Leadership Conference. These minority leadership incentive grants are available to ethnic minority members.
