CCA California Leadership Academy
The California Leadership Academy (CLA) is a learning community made up of local community college representatives. The primary goal of the CLA is for participants to develop advanced leadership skills, gain knowledge about the history and importance of unionism, and learn more about our important statewide organizations. Graduates of the CLA have become board members, local leaders, statewide leaders, and influential faculty advocates in California. CLA participants have the unique opportunity to learn from CCA leaders, CCA staff, and each other.
The CLA will meet at the 2026 Winter, Spring, and Fall Conferences.
CCA Grievance Flash Academy
We’re excited to announce that the CCA Grievance Flash Academy: Practical Tips You Can Use will be offered at the 2026 CCA Winter Conference! This hands-on, interactive training is a great opportunity for grievance representatives and grievance teams to review their CBA and practice handling real-world grievance situations.
The Academy will be held at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa (3050 Bristol St., Costa Mesa, CA 92626) during the regular Saturday morning and afternoon sessions. Participation in both sessions is required. Please note: this training is not for the “grievance-curious” crowd; participants must have a basic understanding of the grievance process and hold an official grievance-related role in their chapter.
Space is limited to the first 30 participants who register, so don’t wait! Both individuals and teams are welcome, as long as they are official grievance representatives for their chapter. To be eligible for reimbursement, Grievance Flash Academy participants must attend both sessions and the Council meeting.
Advance registration is required. Please complete registration using the link: CCA Grievance Flash Academy by Friday, January 16, 2026.
Please note: Registration for the Grievance Flash Academy and the 2026 CCA Winter Conference are separate.
