Join us for the CTA Presidents Conference, July 18-21, 2024 in Orange County. Newly developed interactive sessions designed for new and experienced chapter leaders will provide training to enhance your skills as a local leader and help build systems of success for your chapter.

On the horizon are constant challenges to the labor movement that will impact the work we do as an organization. The Presidents Conference will provide new and returning presidents a foundation to rely upon as we prepare for the future. This conference includes dozens of skill building sessions and provides opportunities to build lasting relationships with other CTA leaders.

The 2024 Presidents Conference is available to CTA Presidents, Vice-Presidents or the local designee. Childcare is available for pre-registered attendees. Do not miss this extraordinary opportunity!

To help encourage attendance at this important training, CTA will reimburse one person per local for their travel costs to attend the conference. Travel expense form found HERE.

Children attending Camp CTA must adhere to the conference Health & Safety Policies.

CTA is offering a no-charge child care program at the 2024 Presidents Conference.  Child care is available to all Presidents Conference attendees who are the primary caregivers of the child(ren) attending Camp CTA for children ages 6 months to 16 years. While you’re attending meetings, your children can enjoy their own Camp, organized by ACCENT on Children’s Arrangements, Inc., a national company specializing in children’s activities. Camp CTA is a complete morning to early evening entertainment program packed with activities. *All children must be preregistered to ensure proper staffing levels. Children participate in age appropriate activities, including arts and crafts projects and active games, in a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. The high ratio of caregiver to child (1:2 for children 6 months-12 months, 1:3 for children 13 months-2 years, 1:5 for children 3-5 years, and 1:8 for children 6-16 years) ensures campers receive lots of personal attention.

Note: There will be a $20/day no show fee for children registered who do not show up or cancel 24 hours in advance.

Program will include afternoon snacks and juice, program entertainment, and craft materials. If preiordered through registration, CTA will provide lunch and dinner Thursday, breakfast, lunch and dinner Friday, Saturday and Monday, and breakfast and Lunch on Sunday for the registered children. Note: There is a $10 charge per meal. Parents can request meals and provide payment information through registration. Meals will be charged after the Conference Weekend. Requested CTA meals are reimbursable through the Member Expense Statement. Meals will be charged for no shows unless cancelled 24 hours prior. No show meal charges are not reimbursable. If parents do not want to pay for meals, they can send/bring meals.

Professional Growth Hours: Professional Growth credit will be available at no cost for CTA members. Confirmation of professional growth hours will be emailed shortly after the conference.

University Credit: The 2023-2024 University Credit Program is a benefit available to members attending CTA Conferences during the 2023-2024 school year. CTA Members, through attending in-person or virtual conferences, will be given the opportunity to accumulate the professional growth hours needed to qualify for university credit units with CSU, Chico. As a benefit to members, CTA will cover the cost for up to six university credit units with CSU, Chico, normally $75/credit. The professional growth hours can be accumulated by attending conferences live and/or by watching recordings. Click here for more information on how to claim the credit.

The CTA Board of Directors will award conference grants for the upcoming Presidents Conference. These incentive grants are available to first time chapters, ESP, CTA BIPOC members and members from chapters with less than 1,000 members. Please click here for more details.
