Winter – Advocacy

The Winter Conference sessions will highlight Advocacy in addition to lobbying and contract enforcement issues. We will also offer the Grievance Academy and the California Leadership Academy (CLA) this year. Beginning with our 2024 Winter Conference, we are adding a CCA Winter Council.  Going forward, all three CCA Conferences will include a Council Session.

For questions about the conference, please email the conference staff at ccaconference@cta.org. For more information on the Community College Association, please visit the CCA website.

CCA Grievance Academy (Registration has reached Max Capacity)

The CCA Grievance Academy is an exciting and unique opportunity designed exclusively for chapter grievance teams, not individuals, which will run parallel to the regular conference program. The Grievance Academy will include training on essential Grievance processing strategies and skills in an interactive, team-based session.

The Grievance Academy will be held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel Los Angeles (404 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90071). The CCA Conference Registration Desk will be open between 3:00 and 3:45 p.m. and the Academy will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, and conclude on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Participants are expected to attend the entire Grievance Academy program.

The Grievance Academy is limited to the first 25 participants who register. A minimum of two participants from a grievance team is required in order for a chapter to participate. In addition, the CCA Board has approved funding for up to five participants per chapter (including delegates and non-delegates) as long as all five attend the Grievance Academy.

Please note: Registration for the Grievance Academy has reached max capacity
