Last month, federal agents mistakenly seized Kilmar Abrego Garcia, transporting him to an El Salvador prison where he faces harsh conditions. The Trump Administration has acknowledged the error but is defying a federal judge’s order to return him to the U.S., arguing that he is in the custody of El Salvador. Abrego Garcia, a first-year apprentice at the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (SMART) Local 100 with no criminal record, has lived in the U.S. since he was 15 and was legally authorized to work.
Now is the time for us to take action to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia home.
Write to your member of Congress using the link below and demand that he be returned to the United States so that his due process rights can be observed.
