BURLINGAME – California Teachers Association President, E. Toby Boyd, issued the following statement today:

“Working people lost a tireless fighter today with the unexpected passing of longtime AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka. From the mines of southwest Pennsylvania to leading the American Labor Movement, Rich showed us through his life that with solidarity and commitment, we all have a chance to work in dignity and live well. He will be greatly missed.”
