California’s Educators Launch Redesigned Website to Enhance Experience & Connect Educators with Schools & Communities

State-of-the-art functionality, sleek design; CTA.ORG live Friday, May Day

BURLINGAME – After months of hard work, dedication and member input, CTA is proud to launch its new and improved website. The new website provides great user experience with a faster, easier-to-navigate, mobile-friendly, visually appealing and interactive space that reflects the power and beauty of the union.

“Today’s launch is a huge milestone for our union. After hearing from our members and staff, our final product is a testament to the thoughtful work and courageous leadership in public education. We are proud to stand united, and we look forward to brighter days ahead with a tool that will help us remain stronger together,” said CTA President E. Toby Boyd.

The new CTA.org is:

  • Easier to navigate: Revamped navigation brings the information you need, closer
  • Mobile-responsive: Works across all your devices and meeting accessibility standards
  • Visually appealing and modern: New design is current, relevant and beautiful
  • User-driven: Information designed around CTA member feedback
  • Interactive: Take action on issues you care about, get the latest news, share on social, view galleries, watch videos, etc.

The Design
The design reflects the diversity of CTA members and what public education advocacy looks like. The design is clean, modern and accessible. Everything from the vibrant color gradients, to the bold fonts, to the creative icons, layers and geometric textures is thought-out and intentional.

NEW FEATURES

Take Action
CTA members and supporters can now easily “Take Action” on the issues they care about. Throughout the website, this “Take Action” area will be available on every page. Easily share on social media to spread the word.

Chapter Search
Now, searching for a local chapter, Regional Resource Center and Service Center Council is easier than ever. Simply type in the name of the school district and get search results.

Stay Informed
A new “Stay Informed” area provides an option for allies and supporters to get connected with CTA and receive the latest news and opportunities for education advocacy.

Today’s launch is the first of three phases. Phase 2 of the website will be completed in Summer 2020, which consists of integrating other web properties for a seamless user experience. Phase 3 of the website will be completed in Fall 2020, which consists of personalization and targeted content.
