Immerse yourself in two days of ethnic studies training delivered by Dr. Miguel Zavala Director of Urban Learning at Cal State LA.
Day 2, December 7: Participants are asked to bring teaching units/lessons to this workshop. With the guidance of Dr. Zavala, each participant will analyze an aspect of their lessons and work toward revising them. Prior to re-designing lessons, the beginning of the workshop will build upon foundational concepts from Day 1, and Dr. Zavala will show how he has developed Culturally Responsive practices in his own work with 9th graders via video analysis and discussion.
