About

Registration is now open!

This conference, “ Fight for the Present, Shape the Future” is centered on the idea that building strong local unions and school site structures through nuts and bolts organizing, including Member and Community Engagement, is the key to a stronger Union.  Our ability to connect with every member on school sites around our shared values is the foundation of building the necessary power to continue in our roles as advocates for students, colleagues, the teaching profession and public education in California.  Please consider joining your colleagues from across Southern California as we hone the practice of building relationships by developing our skills and knowledge through multiple course offerings.

Again, we look forward to seeing all of you on April 22!

PAC Treasurer Training
1:30 PM-3:30 PM

This session will assist local PAC Treasurers regarding political reporting responsibilities and campaign compliance disclosure laws and regulations. Both paper filing of campaign finance reports and Netfile, the electronic campaign finance system used for political reporting responsibilities in accordance with campaign compliance disclosure laws and regulations, will be covered.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Obtain a Netfile account
  • Report and input how money is coming in and going out of the PAC
  • Compile and file regular FPPC reports

*Some counties may already be using Netfile. Others who are using eCampaign may find it useful to attend this training as Netfile and eCampaign are similar systems. Both require the same information related to campaign contributions and expenditures.
