North Valley Animal Disaster Group took care of Ripley until he was reunited with his family yesterday.

Hundreds of pets and farm animals rescued from the Camp Fire in Butte County are still in area shelters waiting to be united with their families, according to North Valley Animal Disaster Group (NVADG).

The animal rescue group sprang into action when the fire forced residents to flee their homes at a moment’s notice, leaving thousands of beloved pets and farm animals behind. While many have been reunited with their families, more than 100 remain in shelter. Photos and information about these pets are available here.

NVADG is asking for support in caring for these evacuated animals—the feeding and shelter of these pets is costly.
