California Teachers Association (CTA) members who have wanted to take their educational practice to the next level but have been stymied by schedule or cost, now have an inexpensive option to receive National Board Certification.
Whether you believe educational justice requires that all student are taught by exemplary teachers, are looking for career advancement, or just want a challenge that will take your classroom skills to the next level, these four regional summer training opportunities might be the answer to your dilemma.

To support members who are starting on this journey, CTA is offering Jump Start!, a pre-candidacy program for teachers interested in becoming National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT). The 3-day seminar is designed to provide you with important information about the certification process in a supportive, collegial environment, facilitated by experienced NBCTs. You will leave with a clear understanding of the certification process and your own action plan for completion. Choose the dates and location that work for you.
