Agreement to Receive Text Messages

By providing your cell phone number to the California Teachers Association (“CTA”), you agree to receive text messages to your number from CTA. These messages are intended to keep you informed and engaged with CTA activities and may include: 

  • Upcoming events – Information about rallies, meetings, conferences, and other CTA events
  • Follow-up communications – Responses to your inquiries or actions 
  • News updates – Important information about education policy, legislation, and union activities 
  • Member welfare – Information related to member benefits, resources, and support services 

Message Frequency 

Message frequency varies based on CTA activities, campaigns, and your level of engagement. You may receive multiple messages per week during active campaigns or events, or fewer messages during quieter periods. 

Message and Data Rates

Msg and data rates may apply. Message and data charges from your wireless carrier may apply to any messages you send or receive. Please contact your wireless carrier for information about your messaging plan. 

Opt-Out Instructions

You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by texting STOP to any text message you receive from CTA. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message. You may also contact us at webmaster@cta.org to be removed from our text messaging list.
