This Summer & Fall, We Are Dreaming Big for Our Future

Attacks on public education are attacks on the future of our communities, our schools and our students. In times like these, visionary organizing is non-negotiable. This summer, CTA members are dreaming together to reclaim the future with a bold vision for public schools in California.

Public education is under attack.

At the center of these attacks is a goal to go after funding for our schools and communities. At every level–from district budgets to federal funding–these threats aim to disrupt our communities, and weaken the foundation of public education.  While our communities struggle, the wealthiest keep getting wealthier.

In the face of these threats, what have we done? We’ve fought back, and won, at new levels across our union. Our contract campaigns have been more robust than ever with six locals going on strike in the 25-26 school year and chapters across the state winning huge improvements for our students and communities. Every victory is evidence of our collective power. This is the power we’ll need to win transformational funding for public schools.
