Two important bills that add more local control and increased accountability over charter-schools and how they spend taxpayer money.

Our students don’t have part-time needs. So, they absolutely cannot have part-time solutions. One of changes that we need is smaller class sizes. We need a lot more school nurses…a lot more school counselors. Counselors provide that social, emotional core…that’s needed. Schools need to be safe places…for our children to learn. Every student has the right to quality education. No matter what neighborhood you live in.

You know what my favorite part really is when I greet students when they come in. Because I know what great things…we have in store in the classroom. When they come into my classroom, they're able to really get in touch with…who they are. My favorite part of teaching has…always been this opportunity to make a difference. Los maestros son los que pasan más tiempo en el salón con sus estudiantes y de verdad entienden las necesidades que tienen los estudiantes. Necesitamos muchos más consejeros y enfermeras. Es importante tener clases pequeñas para poder, yo como maestra, ayudar a mis estudiantes de la mejor manera. Todo estudiante tiene el derecho al estudio de alta calidad. Somos CTA. Somos CTA.
