Upcoming Racial & Social Justice Programming

In order to work toward becoming an anti-racist union, racial and social justice must be at the heart of your work as a local leader and/or union member. This workshop will engage in dialogue about moving beyond bandage-type solutions and dig deeper with developing action plans that move toward systemic change.

Learn and share ideas on how to fight white supremacy culture as it comes up in your local chapter, create and build regular spaces for folx to come together to do the “work,” develop and strengthen your equity/social justice team, and get strategies on how to connect to parents and your larger community.

Leaders and equity teams are encouraged to attend

Our Equity Team Meetings are created especially for CTA local chapter equity teams and/or social justice committees to provide members with an opportunity to meet equity teams across the state, develop strategies on how to strengthen their team, and share ideas about racial and social justice programming.

There will be opportunities for regional breakout sessions and networking.

All members from Equity Teams and Social Justice Committees are encouraged to attend. Members who are interested in developing an Equity Team in their local are also encouraged to attend.
