Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Issues Advisory Committee: The Board advisory committee on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer, intersex, asexual/ally, pansexual, etc., (LGBTQ+) issues will review, comment on and make specific recommendations to the CTA Board of Directors on matters related to sexual orientation and gender identification.

Media stories last year ranging from coverage of landmark Bay Area strikes in New Haven, West Sonoma County and Oakland school districts to educators in Bakersfield fighting for their voices to be heard at Bakersfield City School District meetings to a Sacramento television station’s uplifting “Teacher of the Month” series are among the works honored by CTA’s 61st annual John Swett Awards for Media Excellence.
