A coalition of education labor groups today presented a pathway for reopening schools to lawmakers. Classroom Learning and Safe Schools for Employees and Students (CLASSES) proposes a multi-layered pathway to bringing students back to schools in an equitable way that keeps both students and staff safe.

Eager to return to in-person teaching and learning, California’s teachers, nurses, counselors, and education support professionals sent a letter to Governor Newsom calling for an aggressive statewide plan to limit the transmission of the COVID-19 virus over the next 100 days.
