Remember me

Elizabeth: California’s investment in public schools has produced scientific breakthroughs, technology for a new generation, and artists who entertain the world.

Paul: But now, California has fallen to 47th nationally in public school funding. Schools and colleges have just been cut more than eleven billion dollars – the deepest education cuts in state history.

Elizabeth: On March 13th, thousands of California teachers will receive pink slips – warnings that they may soon be laid off.

Paul: Class sizes will increase and fewer kids will get the one-on-one help they need. It’s not the future California’s students deserve.

David: I’m David Sanchez, president of the California Teachers Association. It’s time we make our voices heard. On Friday, March 13th, join educators in standing up for public schools. Wear pink to protest the drastic cuts to our students, educators and schools. Find out more by visiting CTA.org. If we fail our children today, how can our state possibly succeed tomorrow?

Announcer: This message was brought to you by the California Teachers Association.

Every child deserves a chance to learn and no child succeeds alone.
