Fall 2009 Ed Romeo Student CTA Scholarship
Undergraduate Students at a 4-year University
Three (3) scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $300 each.
Applicant Requirements:
1. Be a member of Student CTA.
2. Submit an essay of approximately 400 words, double-spaced, 12-point size, typed or computer generated. Any further attachments (except for proof of enrollment as noted in #3 below) will result in the automatic disqualification of your application.
3. Verification of enrollment in an undergraduate program at a four-year college or university.

Fall 2009 The Future Educator SCTA Scholarship
Community College Students
Five (5) scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $200 each.
Applicant Requirements:
1. Be a member of Student CTA.
2. Submit an essay of approximately 400 words, double-spaced, 12-point size, typed or computer generated that contains only the information requested. Any further attachments (except for proof of enrollment as noted in #3 below) will result in the automatic disqualification of your application.
3. Verification of enrollment at a Community College.

Fall 2009 Herb Foreman Student CTA Scholarship
Credential Program Students
Two (2) scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $550 each.
Applicant Requirements:
1. Be a member of Student CTA.
2. Submit an essay of approximately 400 words, double-spaced, 12-point size, typed or computer generated. Any further attachments (except for proof of enrollment as noted in #3 below) will result in the automatic disqualification of your application.
3. Verification of enrollment in a teaching credential program.

Fall 2009 The SCTA Ethnic Minority Scholarship
Two (2) scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $250 each.
Applicant Requirements:
1. Be an ethnic minority member of Student CTA.
2. Submit an essay of approximately 400 words, double-spaced, 12-point size, typed or computer generated that contains only the information requested. Any further attachments (except for proof of enrollment as noted in #3 below) will result in the automatic disqualification of your application.
3. Verification of enrollment at a College or University.

2010 L. Gordon Bittle Memorial Scholarship for SCTA
Scholarship Awards
1. CTA receives about 20 applications in this category annually. Up to three (3) $3,000 scholarships are awarded.
2. Scholarship applicants are notified by mail in May. In order to receive funds, scholarship recipients will be required to submit proof of registration for the summer or fall 2010 semester/quarter as:
- A full-time student in an accredited institution of higher learning; or
- Registered in an approved credential or degree program in an accredited institution of higher learning.

- CTA/SCTA members, or
- Public school student(s) nominated by a CTA or SCTA member, or
- Public school district(s) nominated by a CTA or SCTA member

Testing and Credential Fee Reimbursement
This application is intended to reimburse SCTA members for the cost of test fees, live scan fees, and credentialing fees. It does not cover credential program tuition or books. The scholarship amount is to not exceed a total of one-hundred-and-fifty dollars ($150) per applicant and is applicable to fees incurred within the last two (2) SCTA membership years (2008-09 and 2009-10). Applications must be received by Monday, April 26, 2010.
