Among the many workshop opportunities at recent CTA regional conferences were discussion groups on new ways to attract and retain educators. One of the main topics was CTA’s Educational Change Workgroup suggestion that CTA study ways to increase teacher pay and make the field more competitive, which includes finding new funding streams, improving pay structures, offering incentives and refining assistance programs.
