A new CTA radio spot airing statewide is serving as a reminder that public education needs to be a top priority.
The spot extolls the virtues of working together to ensure students get a quality education and to make sure the state is able to provide a well-educated workforce.

Announcer: Their future … is our future.
Parent: Ensuring quality public schools is the best thing California can do for my children and the future of our state.
Businessman: Good schools mean California has a well-educated workforce, not just for my company, but for a vibrant economy.
Teacher: I want to make sure our schools get the tools we need to help every child in every classroom.
Barbara E. Kerr: I’m Barbara Kerr, president of the California Teachers Association and a classroom teacher. Our schools are making progress. And if we work together, California can once again have the best public schools in America. It will take teamwork to get it done. Elected leaders, families, teachers, and the business community — we each need to do our part, for our kids and our future.
Student: I just want a chance to do the best I can.
Announcer: This message was brought to you by the California Teachers Association. Because every child deserves a chance to learn.
