CTA Community Outreach is sponsoring a conference prior to the Summer Institute to focus on building stronger chapters through community engagement. Titled "Beyond the Pancake Breakfast — Recipes for Powerful Alliances," it's scheduled for July 29-30 at UCLA.
Especially designed for site reps and members of chapter committees dealing with community outreach, political action, and human rights, the conference will address the critical need for schools, parents and communities to work together to improve the quality of educational services to children and strengthen community ties.
