Applications for CTA's scholarship programs are now available on the CTA website [go to www.cta.org and click on "Resources" in the left panel].
The deadline to apply is Jan. 27.
The CTA Scholarship for Dependent Children offers 25 $2,000 scholarships, including the Ralph J. Flynn Memorial Fund for the highest-scoring applicant and the D.A. (Del) Weber Scholarship Fund for a student attending continuation high school.
The CTA Scholarship for Members offers five $2,000 scholarship for active members of CTA, including members working on emergency credentials. The money can be used for credential, degree or graduate programs.
The L. Gordon Bittle Memorial Scholarship for Student CTA Members offers three $2,000 scholarships for active members of Student CTA.
In order to receive funds, all scholarship recipients will be required to show proof of registration in an approved credential or degree program in an accredited institution of higher learning.
