CTA's Rural Issues Conference is designed with the rural educator and small CTA chapters in mind.
The Jan. 13-15 conference in Las Vegas includes such workshops as health care in rural areas, retirement issues, educational change, and organizing for strength.
The participant fee is $100 ($125 for those from chapters with 101 or more members). It includes the reception on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday.
Transportation costs will be reimbursed for first-time participants from chapters with 300 or fewer members and up to four participants from rural Service Center Councils who attend the entire conference.
The conference will be held at The Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas. The deadline to get the $99 hotel rate is Dec. 18.
