Praxis scoring errors

Until January 2003, many teacher candidates took the Praxis exam to demonstrate subject matter competence for certification. Since then, the Educational Testing Service has announced that errors in scoring the test between Jan. '03 and April '04 led to incorrect notification of 4,100 teachers in 19 states that they had failed the test.

ETS has attempted to remedy the situation by refunding test fees, but some states have filed class action lawsuits.

If you are involved in this litigation or have received notice that your test was scored incorrectly, please call CTA's Legal Department at (650) 552-5425.
