Loving Ways: A Book About Love for Children explains that love is about much more than romance. Written by teachers Susan Ross and Barbara Alexander, both members of the Amador County Teachers Association, the book is based on classroom discussions.
It invites children of all ages to consider the warmth of friendship, the bond of family, the connection with pets and good stewardship for the planet Earth as forms of love. All over the world, it says, there are friends we haven't met yet, and "brotherly love" means wanting the best for all people.
Journal pages are included to provide an opportunity for individual reflection.
