In an effort to bring more ethnic minority members into leadership roles, the Capital Service Center Council's Ethnic Minority Issues Committee is holding a series of special activities designed to encourage participation in the association.
Chapters in the eight-county area have held an ethnic minority reception and training for the targeted group. The events included information about CTA's governance structure, programs and resources. Four of the trainees campaigned for election and won spots as delegates to NEA's Representative Assembly in July.
