The winning entries from CTA's César E. Chávez Memorial Education Awards Program for 2001-02 have been posted on CTA's website, published in booklet form and put on display at CTA headquarters.
The awards are designed to provide recognition for students and their teachers who demonstrate an understanding of the vision and guiding principles by which Chávez lived his life.
The deadline to enter this year's competition is April 5. The competition is open to individuals or teams of up to five students (K-12 and community college) and their teachers. Up to 40 winners will receive recognition plus $500 for the student(s) and $500 for the teacher.
