Liu

Would promote efforts to help teachers recruited from outside the U.S. who want to teach in California to alleviate the teacher shortage. (Amended 6/19)

Prescription Drug Insurance - SB 461

Would create a catastrophic insurance plan for prescription drugs for STRS retirees. (Amended 1/29)

Faculty Tax Credit - SB 1786
Karnette

Would authorize an earned personal income tax credit for community college faculty/academic employees equal to that authorized for credentialed teachers by the Personal Income Tax Law.

STRS Pension Enhancements - SB 1983
Soto

Increases the limit on how much retired teachers can earn from teaching. Provison allowing unused sickdays to count toward bonused was deleted. (Amended 8/23) (Co-sponsored bill)
