Hands Across the Water is a short-term reciprocal exchange in which teachers live and work with educators in another country for two weeks.
U.S. teachers travel as a delegation to the host country. For several weeks during the summer, they live and work with a host teacher, and also take time out for independent travel. Reciprocal exchanges are often arranged later in the school year.
Costs vary depending upon the country of destination. For more information about costs and applications, contact Hands Across the Water at EIRC, 606 Delsea Drive, Sewell, NJ 08080, call (856) 582-7000, or visit the Web site [www.eirc.org].
