Good grantsmanship pays off

Need to expand your program, train staff or create a new project? The money is out there, according to I'll Grant You That: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Funds, Designing Winning Projects and Writing Powerful Grant Proposals.

Part book, part CD-ROM and part Web site, it is designed as a resource for teachers. On the CD-ROM are samples of what works and what doesn't in securing grants, Internet resources for finding possible funding sources, and self-assessment tools to use in writing the proposal.

The authors are Jim Burke, an English teacher at Burlingame High School and member of Teachers Association of San Mateo Union High School District, and Carol Ann Prator, a music teacher and member of the Burlingame Education Association.
