Dry Ice Investigations helps students (grades 6-8) learn to conduct their own investigations into the intriguing nature of dry ice. In a series of 11 sessions, the book conveys essential science concepts, including age-appropriate knowledge of the particulate theory of matter, phase change and chemistry. It also provides an introduction to important milestones in the history of science.
The book offers teachers ways to meet the challenges of obtaining and storing dry ice, including lists of resources, storage suggestions and necessary safety precautions.
