FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SACRAMENTO - The teacher-supported Sacramento High School Partnership Charter will be the topic of a special meeting for parents and the community on Wednesday, March 12 in the Sacramento High School Library. Parents will have the opportunity to see a presentation and participate in a discussion regarding the proposal to create a conversion public charter school at Sacramento High School.
"We are excited to have this opportunity to present the Partnership Charter to the community. Our charter proposal for Sacramento High is the only one that has the support of the majority of the faculty, and we expect it to gain the support of the majority of parents and students as well," said Tom Rogers, president of the Sacramento City Teachers Association.
"The Sacramento High School Partnership Charter will do just what its name indicates. It will be a partnership of parents, students, community members and teachers working together to re-create a great school," Rogers said. "We encourage everyone to come Wednesday evening, as well as to attend the school board meeting at Sac High on March 17, when the charter proposal is presented to the trustees."
