Teacher 1:
It bothers me…all the things we can't do for students because our schools simply don't have the resources they need. It's frustrating!
Barbara:
I'm Barbara Kerr, President of the California Teachers Association and a classroom teacher. A recent report by the Coalition for College Opportunity reveals that only one in eight California students goes on to college. The reason? A shortage of counselors, college prep classes and resources in our schools. It's time to tell Sacramento politicians to keep their promises and repay our schools. Here's what teachers are saying:
Teacher 2:
The Governor's broken promises cheat our students of their future.
Teacher 3:
The best thing we can do for their future is investing in our student's education.
Teacher 4:
We need to tell Sacramento politicians this: to keep their promises to our students and our schools.
