As one step toward a solution to the health care crisis, CTA supported SB 840 – the Single-Payer health care bill proposed by state Sen. Sheila Kuehl (D-Santa Monica) -- but Gov. Schwarzenegger vetoed the bill in late 2008.
CTA will continue to fight for programs like SB 840 and explore alternative health programs.
