As one step toward a solution to the health care crisis, CTA supported SB 840 – the Single-Payer health care bill proposed by state Sen. Sheila Kuehl (D-Santa Monica) -- but Gov. Schwarzenegger vetoed the bill last year and has vowed to veto the bill in the future.
CTA will continue to fight for SB 840, and will explore alternative health programs should the governor veto SB 840 as promised.
