Purpose
To recognize, as a tribute to the late Ted Bass, CTA Political Consultant, an outstanding teacher in politics for his/her contribution to the education profession through political action.
Timetable
Chapter nominations (one per chapter) must be submitted to the Service Center Council chairperson postmarked no later than February 1, 2010.
Service Center Council nominations (up to five per Service Center Council) and certificate order forms for those selected should be forwarded by the SCC chairperson to the Awards Committee, CTA, Governmental Relations Division, 1118 10th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814, and must be postmarked no later than March 12, 2010.
The Awards Committee will select the Teacher-In-Politics winner in March. The nominee certificates will be mailed to the Service Center Council chairpersons in April. The presentation of the Teacher-In-Politics Award will occur at the June 2010 meeting of the CTA State Council of Education.
