Impact Teen Drivers reminds young drivers not to drive distracted in a new social media campaign, "Be Thumbody."
Instructions are simple: Dress up your thumb, take a picture, make it your profile picture, and spread the word that reckless and distracted driving can stop with you.
The purpose is to get the word out that texting while driving isn’t just illegal, it’s deadly. In fact, it’s the Number 1 killer of teens in America.
Supported by the California Highway Patrol, the California Office of Traffic Safety, and California Casualty, the campaign is part of an ongoing effort to prevent teens from engaging in risky behavior while driving.
