The Gunn High School Library has won $60,000.00 in resources from the Follett Corporation, a leading provider of educational materials. Gunn Librarian Meg Omainsky’s entry included a written application and video describing her work to turn the Gunn library into an interactive, technology-based hub for students who need space to design innovative projects and collaborate creatively with their peers.
Ms. Omainsky shared, “I didn’t think I was going to win this contest, but I wanted to share the fantastic student-centered space we had created here at Gunn. Winning the Follett Challenge is amazing. I want to share the prize with all the libraries in the district since we are a unified district who shares not only our students but also our resources.”
