Hundreds of educators marked California's "Day of the Teacher" Wednesday afternoon by marching together in Fremont Unified School District's parking lot to rally for lower class sizes and higher salaries.
"I have been thinking about the history of FUDTA and asking myself, ÔWhere are we headed?'" Sherea Westra, president elect for the Fremont Unified District Teachers Association which represents 1,650 teachers said that evening. "Our office has kept a few archives of our history, and I put together that timeline. Let's take a look at where we started."
