The Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) board approved measures on Feb. 26 that would allow district administrators to potentially eliminate or reduce more than 50 staff positions.
Many of the cuts are due to the funding of several education programs that expire this June. Middle and high schools may also readjust staff levels if their student enrollment drops in the 2013-14 school year, district staff reported.
