Elizabeth: California’s investment in public schools has produced scientific breakthroughs, technology for a new generation, and artists who entertain the world.
Paul: But now, California has fallen to 47th nationally in public school funding. Schools and colleges have just been cut more than eleven billion dollars – the deepest education cuts in state history.
Elizabeth: On March 13th, thousands of California teachers will receive pink slips – warnings that they may soon be laid off.
Paul: Class sizes will increase and fewer kids will get the one-on-one help they need. It’s not the future California’s students deserve.
