NEA Directors Work to Pare Down Federal Testing Requirements

More time for classroom learning – less time wasted on repetitive, unnecessary and toxic testing. That's the message that NEA directors and Association are delivering to federal lawmakers.

The Association is supporting HR 4172, by Reps. Chris Gibson (R-NY) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), a measure that would amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to reduce the number of federally required standardized tests.

You can help convince lawmakers to sign on as cosponsors and vote for the measure by using the Contact Your Legislator link at cta.org.
